J.M. Green has lived the life of a career explorer. His resume includes, but is not limited to, trash collector for Waste Management in Lima, Ohio, Marine Corps platoon commander with the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, CIA analyst, high school English teacher, youth librarian, and academic librarian at Xavier University.

Green served as an intelligence officer at the Pentagon’s National Military Joint Intelligence Center during Operation Enduring Freedom.

He is currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing (fiction) at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he also writes for the university’s alumni and development teams.
